About Me

After 30 years of Primary school teaching, I took early retirement. I was always passionate about the arts and crafts at school, organising arts and cultural weeks.  As a child I loved drawing and making things and remember my Nan always knitting or mum sewing and making us clothes and dad wood turning or making something for the house.  So I suppose the creativity is in my genes.

Retirement means that suddenly I had plenty of time on my hands and as they say the devil makes work for idle hands!  I hate being idle! So now I had some time to be creative and do the things I had enjoyed doing like sewing, painting and drawing as well as learn new skills with glass!

I can’t decide which I prefer because I’m always trying new patterns for sewing, and I’m still learning with glass! There are so many variables in both skills and I love that as it still gives me a challenge and something to conquer!

Over that last few years I’ve sold and been commissioned to create glass pieces or make various hand sewn items; cushions, bunting, bags (of all shapes and sizes], table runners and napkins. So eventually I have decided to build a website (slowly!) to share and advertise what I do and if you’re interested in buying something or would like a bespoke item, then please get in touch!
